Do not squander time. That is the stuff life is made of. Benjamin Franklin
(seen on a sundail at Twelve Oaks in the movie Gone With the Wind)

It’s almost here!!! Not just a new year, but a new decade! 2020 has so much potential for all of us. I for one need to stand up and embrace the challenge! No dilly dallying, not waiting for another day. I have to just start a task and complete it…in a happy way!!!
I love Happy Everything and their fun ceramic serving pieces with the attachable holiday attachments. The Happy New Year attachment is new for a new year and I love the clock face and all things happy! This new year will start off with a very happy celebration!

I love to needlepoint and am so motivated by several stitchers on Instagram! FrancophileDallas has to be one of my favorites. She is always stitching the most beautiful ornaments. She’s super organized and best of all she shares pictures of her finished pieces with her Instagram followers. She is such a motivational Insty friend. Even though she has two little children, she makes time to stitch. This year a group of dedicated Instagram stitchers are challenging each other to stitch 20 things in 2020. Can you imagine completing 20 ornaments in a year??? I can’t wait to see what they stitch up!!!

Finally, I’d like to share my word of the year. Blessing. I love the hymn There Shall be Shower’s of Blessings. The author talks about mercy drops falling around him, but really he needed showers of blessings. Do you ever feel like that? I know I do. This year I’m am going to make an effort to be a blessing to the people in my life. How hard is it to purposefully try to be a blessing to everyone you meet. I know it can be difficult, but can you say something positive and cheerful to the check out clerk at your local grocery store? Or your mail carrier, the person at the dry cleaners? And don’t forget about your family! Text everyone something positive and uplifting! I know I am the worst about that. I spend way too much time asking them if they’ve done their homework, don’t stay out too late, don’t forget to call. That’s way too many negatives. Be a blessing…this does not mean let them take advantage of you…but be a bright spot in the lives of those around you. Be part of the shower of blessings they are praying for! Pray about being a blessing to others and ask for God’s guidance as you go about your day!!!
HAPPY NEW YEARS!!! MAKE 2020 THE BEST YEAR EVER!!!
Blessings to you!
