The Thin Man is the first in a series of movies staring William Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick and Nora Charles. A detective that is trying to stay out of the detective industry, his wealthy wife that thinks sleuthing is fun, and their adorable puppy that is always around entertaining the audience with his cute tricks!
Nick and Nora Charles are one of the most fun movies characters around! Williams Powell and Myrna Loy have such great on screen chemistry! I love their silly banter…and of course you can’t forget about Astra their sweet fox terrier puppy!

There are six films in The Thin Man series. The first one was filmed in 1934 and they continued entertaining audiences through 1947. The Thin Man was filmed in black and white, which makes it so much more fun!!! I do recommend that you watch it with close captioning on because they talk so fast that sometimes you have to read what they are saying! The dialog is so important! There is so much witty banter between Nick and Nora you don’t want to miss any of it! (Watch closely and you’ll see a young Caesar Romero in the cast! I almost missed him!!!)
