This week’s movie is Bringing Up Baby! Released in1938 this movie starred Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn. It is a screwball comedy, which is just silly silly fun!!!
Cary Grant is a paleontologist in search of an elusive bone for the brontosaurus he is reconstructing. He is also engaged to a harsh, but pretty woman that wants to direct his every move!
Katherine Hepburn plays a scatter brained woman that has been given a leopard named Baby! The animals in this movie were incredible! There were two leopards and the famous dog, Skippy. Skippy also played Asta in The Thin Man.
There was an incredibly silly scene in a jail. Everyone gets locked up and it is the silliest thing ever!
Everything turns out alright in the end. The mean fiancé leaves, all of the drama with Baby and the other leopard (that appeared halfway through the movie) work out well, and the brontosaurus…well, you’ll just have to watch the movie to see what happens to him!!!
If you’re looking for a light hearted, fun movie, this is the one for you. Screwball is the perfect description for all the silliness the Grant and Hepburn bring the the screen! Enjoy!!!
