How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. Psalm 104:24

I can’t believe these two stinkers are eleven years old! It seems like yesterday that we picked these two up from a family that had an accidental litter of puppies. Their AKC Yorkshire terrier was not supposed to have puppies with their beautiful AKC long haired chihuahua. Their accident was our blessing, we got the best of both worlds, Lev and Churro. Lev looks like his Yorkie daddy and Churro looks like his chihuahua mother.

We were planning on having a big birthday celebration for the boys, but life got in the way, so we had to make do with a cookie pool party. The boys love the great outdoors and they really love cookies, so you know that their eleventh birthday was a big success!

We used our tried and true dog cookie recipe for the boys. It is dog friendly and doesn’t upset their delicate stomachs. I think they expect these yummy cookies every year…they are really spoiled!
Peanut Butter Carrot Dog Treats
1 cup creamy peanut butter 3/4 cup skim milk 1 egg 2/3 cup shredded carrot 2 and 1/4 cups whole wheat flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/3 cup oats
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper, Mix the peanut butter, milk, egg, and carrot together. Add flour and baking powder. Mix in the oats. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Roll the dough out to about 1/4 inch. Cut out into cookie cutter shapes suitable to your dog’s size. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. You can flip the cookies and bake them on the other side for 10 more minutes if your puppies like crunchier cookies. My chorkies have older teeth and they like their cookies on the soft side. I store the cookies in a sealed container in the refrigerator. These cookies never last that long, so I can’t really tell you what their refrigerator life is!

Have fun celebrating your babies birthday’s every year! They seem to come faster and faster all of the time. How can these two little angels be eleven years old already??? I pray that we can celebrate birthdays for many more years with my cookie loving pups!
I have a fabulous puppy cake recipe too! I share that soon!!!
