On Day 4 We Help the Schools That Teach Our Children!

Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. Deuteronomy 32:2

What teacher wouldn’t love a lovely library of classic books?!?

Christmas vacation is over, winter has set in and days a long and dreary. It’s a really tough time for children and teachers. The days of fresh school supplies are long gone and even the strongest teachers need a boost of motivation! There are so many ways we can help!

Edible Arrangements deliver beautiful fruit arrangements that are a healthy snack for teachers and school workers!

A plate of warm chicken-minis from Chick-Fil-A make a perfect quick snack for busy teachers on the go!

One way you can help our teachers is bring them a little something for their work room to nibble on. How many teachers left home in such a rush that they didn’t have time to eat breakfast or pack a healthy lunch. We can help one day a week or a month by providing our local school with a healthy, warm breakfast or lunch. Fresh fruits and veggies are always welcome. Meat, cheese, and bread to build sandwiches make a good lunch. Fresh baked cookies will be gobbled up! Even having a group of friends deliver pizza to a school will be appreciated!

Fresh school supplies are also very appreciated! By this time of the year crayons are broken or lost, markers have run out of ink, glue bottles are empty. What can you do to make learning a little bit easier for students?

Wouldn’t a teacher love to get this big box of crayons???

Individual boxes of crayons would make a classroom full of happy students!

Markers run out of ink very quickly! This would be perfect for an after Christmas prize for teachers and students!

New glue bottles are always welcome. I know you can refill a glue bottle, but they aren’t as good as a new bottle!

Preschool classes love glue sticks for little hands. Can you imagine how many beautiful pictures 60 glue sticks can make???

We are in the middle of cold and flu season, how about donating Kleenex to your local school? They would be greatly appreciated!

All of these school supplies are from Amazon. I am not an Amazon affiliate, so this is just an easy way to get bulk supplies for your favorite teacher! If you don’t have a favorite teacher, just go to your neighborhood school and ask what they need and want. Church schools and private schools need fresh supplies too! Don’t forget about them!

There are other ways to help your teachers. Most schools have a book fair. Teachers make lists of books that they would like to include in their classroom library. Purchase a few of these books as a surprise. A book is a gift that can be opened again and again!

You can also volunteer to run off copies for classrooms, tutor students, grade papers, so many things!!! Just call your school office and see where they need help.

Above all please pray for our teachers and schools. Life is rough right now and our school needs all of the prayers they can get!
