Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Matthew 28:19

I can’t believe that it’s Saint Patrick’s Day again! I love this wonderful day draped in green. You know that spring is on the way and the season of singing is almost here!
I love reading about Saint Patrick and his life. It was really rough, but he kept coming back! My favorite Saint Patrick’s Day books are children’s books. I read these stories to my children every year and now I read them to my grandchildren. I encourage you to read them too! Children’s books are so much fun!

This year I found a very sweet devotional full of Irish blessings. May The Road Rise to Meet You, by Jennifer Deibel, is a 31 day devotional. Each devotion starts out with an Irish blessing and includes Bible studies full of God’s grace. It is the perfect devotion to dive into during the month of March. Jennifer lived in Ireland for years and she uses her experience there to strengthen you heart and bring you closer to God’s blessing. It is a lovely book.

I have always loved finding pennies in unexpected places. My mother always repeated the traditional penny saying, and added another verse, which I love!
Find a penny, pick it up,
All day long you’ll have good luck!
Find a penny, let it lay,
Stay in bed the rest of the day!
It was easy when I was a child, any penny was good luck. My daughter told me that only pennies that were heads up were lucky! You don’t see as many pennies lying on the ground anymore. I guess it is a sign of a cashless society. I still love finding pennies, it’s so much fun!
I have a special little dish that I keep lucky pennies in. It is like my little pot of gold!

Don’t you just love Limoges boxes? I collect them, especially boxes with little trinkets inside of them. It’s like a wonderful little present inside of a beautifully wrapped box. I even have a Saint Patrick’s Day Limoges-esque box!

As I sign off from another beautiful Saint Patrick’s Day, I would like to share a special piece of jewelry that my parents got me in Brazil many years ago. My mother told me to remember how much she loved me every time I wear it. She has already gone to heaven, but every time I wear this little pin, I think about how much she loved me.

I hope you all had a wonderful Saint Patrick’s Day! Go tell everyone about Jesus! Just like Saint Patrick did!!!
